TikTok Shop commission calculator

What does TikTok Shop affiliate pay? Set the product price, the commission rate and the sales volume you want to test: the calculator returns gross earnings per sale and per month, plus how many sales it would take to reach a target you set. It does the multiplication. It does not predict your sales, and neither does anything else.

Per sale

3

Per month, gross

90

At this price and this rate, hitting 500 a month would take 167 sales, roughly 6 a day.

This is arithmetic, not a forecast. The sales figure is an assumption you supply, nothing here predicts it, and no tool can. Results are gross, before whatever tax applies where you live. The calculator is currency neutral: enter the price in the currency your marketplace pays in, dollars, pounds or euros, and the results come back in the same one. The exact commission on each order is visible in your TikTok creator dashboard.

How TikTok Shop commissions work

  • The rate is set product by product by the seller, and it is not negotiable from your side. Two sellers listing the same item can offer very different rates, which is why the marketplace is worth reading before the content is worth making.
  • The base is what the customer actually pays at checkout, not the price on the listing. A seller promotion or a platform coupon lowers the amount your percentage applies to, so the same product can pay two different commissions in the same week.
  • Payment lags the sale by a long way. Nothing is confirmed until the buyer has received the order and the return window has run out, which means a strong posting week shows up in your balance well after it shows up in your stats.

Entry requirements for the program differ by market and TikTok adjusts them regularly, so check yours in the app. The steps to get approved and pick your first products are in the TikTok Shop affiliate guide.

Commission is only one of the ways a post can pay. The guide on whether TikTok carousels make money covers what views really pay, what affiliate pays, and what changes when you sell your own products instead.

Two levers that move the result

The rate. Take a product paying 8% and an equivalent one paying 18%: the same number of sales pays you more than twice as much, for identical work. Rates are printed in the marketplace before you commit, which makes this the cheapest optimization you will ever get. The method for spotting products that combine demand with a decent rate is in the guide on TikTok Shop winning products.

The volume of content. The second term in the equation is the one you cannot look up, and the only honest way to move it is to give the algorithm more chances to pick a winner. In practice that means publishing on a schedule you can hold, which only works if each post is cheap to produce. That is the job of the carousel generator: ready to post slides, text baked into the image, built from formats that views already validated.

Frequently asked questions

What commission rate can you expect on TikTok Shop?
The rate is set product by product by the seller, most often between 5 and 20% of the sale price (beauty frequently runs 15 to 20%, tech closer to 5 to 12%, as checked in July 2026). It is displayed in the affiliate marketplace before you choose to promote a product, so compare rates before you make the content, not after.
Is the commission based on the list price or the price actually paid?
On the amount the customer actually pays at checkout, so a seller promotion or a platform coupon lowers the base your rate applies to. The exact figure for each order shows in your creator dashboard, and TikTok updates its rules regularly: treat the dashboard as the source of truth.
When do TikTok Shop commissions get paid?
A commission is confirmed once the order is delivered and the return window has closed, then paid to your creator balance, typically around two weeks after delivery. Plan on two to three weeks between the sale and money you can actually withdraw.
Do I have to pay tax on TikTok Shop commissions?
Yes. Affiliate commissions are taxable income, and platforms collect tax details from the creators they pay. In the US that normally means a 1099 form once you cross the reporting threshold in force that year, and self-employment tax on top of income tax; in the UK and the EU the rules and the thresholds are different. This calculator shows gross earnings only, before any of that. For your own situation, ask an accountant.
How many sales can one carousel bring?
There is no rule: it depends on views, niche, price and how well the post matches the product. The most grounded way to set expectations is to look at what is already running. Carouscale lists TikTok Shop carousels that clear 5,000 views across 6 markets, with the product each one links to.
